Selkirk FD would like to THANK Commissioner Chuck Wickham for fifteen years of dedicated leadership to the Selkirk Fire District, and the community, as a Fire Commissioner. Commissioner Wickham was elected to the Board Of Fire Commissioners in 2007. In 2010 he was elected as Chairman Of The Board Of Fire Commissioners. A position he held until part way through 2021. He chose not to run for a fourth term. but remains an active firefighter.
In his fifteen years as a Commissioner, and especially the last twelve as Chairman Of The Board, Commissioner Wickham helped bring the Selkirk Fire District forward immensely. His forward thinking helped establish the Town Of Bethlehem Collaboration Task Force, where leaders, from all of the Fire Districts within the Town Of Bethlehem, got together to discuss how the Fire Districts could work better together.
His leadership was also invaluable with the Selkirk Fire District Building Project, in which the vote passed, in the Fall of 2020, to help build a new fire station on Rt. 9w in Selkirk and add a larger engine bay at Station 2 in Glenmont. His determination and leadership helped make this happen.
Thank You Commissioner Wickham for all of the long hours, and hard work, you sacrificed over the last fifteen years.
