The Selkirk Fire Department would like to thank our two recent outgoing Fire Commissioners for their years of service on the Board of Fire Commissioners.
Commissioner Bill Asprion was appointed to the BOFC early in 2018 to fill the seat vacated by the resignation of Commissioner Barak Strock. Commissioner Asprion brought a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the BOFC. His responsibilities included working with the Chief Officers on Apparatus & Equipment needs.
Commissioner Doug VanApeldoorn was elected to the BOFC in 2009 after serving six years as a line officer. He served in various roles over the last ten years he served on the BOFC including Vice Chairman, LOSAP Trustee, Webmaster, Liaison to the Board of Directors, and he also served as the District representative on the town-wide training committee.
