Shortly before 9:30PM, on March 6th, Selkirk FD was dispatched to a reported structure fire at the Bethlehem Industrial Park, on Rt. 9w in Selkirk. First units arriving saw a heavy smoke condition coming from the right-side of the structure. Entry was quickly made, however after an attempted quick attack, the situation grew worse, and attack teams pulled out, and fire attack was made exterior only.
Numerous fire departments, in Albany County, and surrounding counties, were called to help with various tasks on scene. Including FAST, tanker operations, and overall manpower assistance. After about seven hours the fire was completely extinguished, and units were heading home.
