The Selkirk Fire Department responds to an average of 300+ emergency calls throughout the year

A resolution was also adopted at this meeting to form the first Fire Police Squad of the department.

The Selkirk Fire Department continues the proud tradition that those first firefighters started over 95 years ago. We currently have over 80 dedicated men & women doing their duty of protecting our community everyday.

the Selkirk Fire Department Auxiliary

The Selkirk Fire Department Auxiliary was created on July 9th, 1929. In the late 1950′s, with the additions of Selkirk Fire Co. 2, and Selkirk Fire Co. 3, The Selkirk Fire Department Auxiliary was divided into three separate company Auxiliaries.

Our Function:

To Support the Fire Department during times of emergency by providing supplies at the scene of fire scenes or other types of emergency calls, as well as helping the Fire Department personnel and their families during times of loss or need.
Honor the service and sacrifice of Firefighters and their families.
Encourage community support of the Selkirk Fire Department and its members.
