Monday, December 6, 2010  In the early morning hours of December 6th, the Selkirk Fire Department responded to the Selkirk Rail Yard for a reported open top gondola car on fire.  Using the Ladder Truck the majority of the fire was put out from above the car.  Contents were also removed and doused by firefighters on the scene.

Thursday, November 18, 2010  At approx. 2:30AM the Selkirk Fire Department responded to a Tractor Trailer on fire at NYS Thruway Exit 22.  The tractor trailer was carrying Liquid Nitrogen.  The fire, which was coming from the rear tire area, was knocked down very quickly.  The Coeymans Fire Department assisted on scene.  The New Baltimore Fire Department was on stand-by at the Selkirk Co. 1 station.
 

Monday, September 13, 2010  Towards the end of August the Selkirk Fire Department put their newest piece of Apparatus, a Marion Pumper (Engine 47), into service.
