Saturday, May 28, 2011  SFD responded to a multiple vehicle accident MVA at the Rt. 9W intersection in Glenmont.  Two vehicles were involved, no one was hurt.

Thursday, May 26, 2011  At around 11:00AM SFD responded to a roll-over accident on the NYS Thruway, just north of Exit 22.  There was one person in the vehicle.  They were extricated out of the vehicle within a short time and transported to the hospital by the Bethlehem Ambulance Squad.

Monday, May 23, 2011  Selkirk FD responded to a one-car rollover accident on River Rd., near Glenmont Rd. 

Wednesday, May 18, 2011  At around 1:30AM, in the morning on May 18th, SFD was dispatched to a call of a tree that had fallen on a house on Hartman Road in Glenmont.  People were home at the time, but no one was hurt.

Tuesday, May 17, 2011  On Tuesday May 17th, at 11:46AM, SFD responded to a reported Truck fire on Rt. 9W in Glenmont, near the NYS Thruway and Corning Hill Rd..  The fire, caused by brakes that had locked up, was extinguished quickly.

Tuesday, May 10, 2011  The Selkirk Fire Department responded to a structure fire on River Rd. in Glenmont on May 10th at around 2:30PM.  First responders noticed a smokey condition coming from the rear of the house.  Numerous surrounding fire departments were called in to assist with the attack, FAST Team Ops, and to stand-by to protect the surrounding areas.  The fire was contained to the rear of the house and the porch area.  No one was injured. 

Wednesday, March 23, 2011  On Wednesday March 23rd, the Selkirk Fire Department responded to a working Tractor Trailer Fire on Bridge St., near the CSX rail yard.  The vehicle fire was extinguished quickly.  There were no injuries.

The Selkirk Fire Department installed the 2011 officers at the annual Installation Dinner and Muster held on Saturday March 19th.  In the picture are the 2011 District Officers.  Co. 2 Chief Steve Hummel, District Chief Bill Asprion, Co. 1 Chief Josh Therrien, Co. 3 Chief Kevin Craft, and Fire Police Captain Don Van Apeldoorn.

The 2011 Selkirk Firefighters Of The Year were announced on Tuesday evening March 8th, at the annual Town-Wide recognition ceremony held at the Nathaniel Adams Blanchard Post 1040 in Delmar N.Y..  The winners were:
